Paneer Lababdar
I would describe this dish as Paneer Lajawab (wonderful)!
Paneer Lababdar is an extremely popular paneer gravy dish that can be easily found on the menu of Indian restaurants. I would call it 'Paneer in rich, creamy cashew curry'! If you are bored with regular Paneer Butter Masala or Paneer Makhani, its the right time to try your hands onto Paneer Lababdar.
How to make Restaurant style Paneer Lababdar at home?

Prepare and let yourself and your family enjoy this luscious combination of cottage cheese (Paneer) and exotic gravy prepared from chopped onions, cashew nuts, spices and tomato puree.
Paneer Lababdar Recipe
Ingredients for Gravy:
Oil 1 tablespoon
Jeera 1 teaspoon
Black peppercorns 4 to 5
Green cardamon 3 to 4
Cinnamon stick 1/2 inch
Bay leaves 2
Garlic cloves 5 to 6
Ginger 1/2 inch
Green chillies 2 to 3
Cashewnuts 3/4th cup
Onions sliced 3 medium sized
Tomatoes chopped 2 big sized
Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Water 2 tablespoon
Preparation steps for Gravy:
Heat a kadai on medium flame and add oil. Add whole spices and saute them for a minute.
Now add garlic cloves, chopped ginger and sliced onions. Cook them until onions become soft.
Add chopped tomatoes, cashewnuts, green chillies and salt to taste. Cook them for 5 minutes.
Now add Kashmiri red chilli powder and water and cook further for 10 minutes.
Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down completely and grind into fine paste.
Ingredients for Paneer Lababdar:
Oil 2 tablespoon
Ghee 1 tablespoon
Freshly prepared tomato onion gravy
Paneer 300 grams
Garam masala 1 teaspoon
Kitchen king masala 1/2 teaspoon
Kasuri methi 1/4 teaspoon
Water 100 to 120 ml
To garnish, fresh cream and fresh coriander leaves
Preparation steps for Paneer Lababdar:
Take a wok, heat oil and ghee. Then add prepared tomato onion gravy, saute for 2 to 3 minutes, then add water.
Now adjust the consistency according to your preference (if it's too thick, add little water) cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
Add salt to taste, garam masala, kitchen king masala and kasuri methi, then give a mix.
Add the paneer cubes and give gentle mix and switch off the flame.
Garnish with fresh cream and coriander leaves.
Enjoy Paneer Lababdar with hot roti or paratha!
