How to make Aloo Frankie at home?
Aloo Frankie is an easy to make recipe at home. It is a filling snack that can also be a part of your kid's school tiffin. The spice levels can be altered to suit children or elders.

Frankie Roti Ingredients:
Refined flour 1 cup
Oil 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Water as required
Preparation Steps for Frankie Roti:
In a mixing bowl, add refined flour, oil and salt. Mix well and add water to knead the dough to soft.
Apply oil to the dough surface to prevent it from drying.
Cover the dough with damp cloth and rest it for 30 minutes.
Knead the dough once again and give a round shape.
Flatten the dough balls to make Chapati with the help of rolling pin.
Heat the tawa and semi cook the Chapati from both the sides until brown colour spot appears.
Keep half cooked Chapati according to your consumption.
Aloo Filling Ingredients:
Potatoes 3 to 4 medium
Onions chopped 1 medium sized
Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Green chillies paste 1 tablespoon
Red chilli sauce 1 tablespoon
Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
Coriander power 1 tablespoon
Jeera powder 1 tablespoon
Aamchur powder 1/2 tablespoon
Garam masala 1/2 tablespoon
Fresh Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Preparation Steps for Aloo Filling:
Take a wok or pan and heat oil on a medium flame. Add onions, ginger garlic paste and green chilli paste. Saute them until onions turn translucent.
Add spices and red chill sauce. Cook for a minute.
Add boiled and mashed potatoes, salt to taste, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Switch off the flame, add fresh coriander leaves and mix well.
Ingredients to make Aloo Frankie:
Butter
Semi cooked chapati
Aloo filling
Chopped onions
Frankie masala
Chilli vinegar
Processed cheese
Preparation steps to make the Frankie:
Take a tawa and heat it on medium flame. Cook semi-cooked Frankie rotis (chapati) by applying butter on both the sides.
Now take a small portion of Aloo filling into your palm and give an oval shape. Place it on cooked Frankie rotis.
Add chopped onions, sprinkle Frankie masala and 1/2 teaspoon of chilli vinegar.
Grate processed cheese (optional), roll the roti and your Aloo Frankie is ready! It can be served with tomato ketchup.
